Guidelines for your portrait session
Hi there, I’m glad you’re planning a portrait session with Franctal Studio. We make a good effort to go over every information prior to your session but I know some things may slip through the crack or you may not remember with all the information you are provided with. That’s why these guidelines are set up to help you remember some of the details. I look forward to creating beautiful portraits of you.
Session fees
Session Fees
Required session fee is due at the time of booking to secure your appointment date and time. This is a non-refundable fee that goes toward your session. The session fee covers the all the administration time to create your experience and ordering appointment, time of your portrait session, basic retouching and creative editing of photographs, professional hairstyling and makeup artistry where applicable. All print and digital products are ordered separately. Portrait experiences begin at the time of booking and are only concluded when finished products are ordered and delivered. A minimum order requirement is applied on all sessions.
Location Fees
For most portrait sessions, you do have the options of a studio session, in-home session or in an outdoor location of your choice. If there are any costs/fees associated with the location the client has chosen for their session (including but not limited to, use of facilities), the client will be responsible for those fees. The photographer will not guarantee or arrange payment on any location. You may choose locations (within the lower mainland) that bring good memories for you or are a central part of your personal or family tradition. They make for good stories to tell in the future. A studio session (in-studio or outside the studio area) is recommended, otherwise.
Rescheduling
All appointments may be rescheduled once for personal reasons with adequate notice (not less than 10 business days) without penalty. Subsequent rescheduling, same-day cancellations, same-day rescheduling, or rescheduling or cancellation within within two weeks of the scheduled date attract a $250 charge. Headshots sessions can only be rescheduled with payment of a reschduling fee.
Lateness
We understand that life happens and so does traffic. Headshots sessions beyond 15 minutes late will be considered cancelled, as sessions are scheduled back-to-back, custom sessions more than 30 minutes late will attract a $150 add-on charge.
Cancellation
Should you decide to completely cancel the session, the session fee is forfeited and will not be refunded. If your session has been booked with any prior savings or discounts, the full value of your session fee ($490), in addition to cancellation fees, will be due and it may be deducted from any payments that have been made including print credit. This allows us to offset the administrative costs associated with preserving resources, date and time for your session. Photographer reserves the right to reschedule due to illness, weather, equipment malfunction, or other circumstances beyond their control. Adequate notice will be provided or an associate photographer will be present to create your portraits. Should session have to be rescheduled, rescheduling must be within a 30-day period.
Ordering Appointment
One complimentary ordering appointment is included in your session fees and are held same day as your portrait session. For on-location sessions you ay request a separate ordering appointment within ten days of your session. Ordering appointments are charged at $150/hour. Following an on-location portrait session or in the event that an immediate ordering appointment cannot hold, portraits are archived for up to 10 days with no charge within which an ordering appointment has to be scheduled. Client may request for additional archiving not more than 3 weeks after the end of the 7-day period for a $250 fee, after which the portraits will be purged from photographer’s hard-drive, if no ordering occurs.
Orders and payments
All payments are due in full at the time of ordering, unless pre-payment arrangements have been made prior to your session. Orders are processed immediately following your session. All portrait sessions are geared towards the end goal; creating tangible portrait pieces. Same day savings are applied for portraits commissioned at the phone consultation or prior to the session. Only one type of savings or gift voucher may apply to a session.
